The main difference between competitors, cooperators, or individualists is their end goal within the team. Competitors are focused on doing better than one another, cooperators and individualists are concerned with the group's success, while individualists are also concerned with their personal success. I think that I am more of an individualist. Each personality affects the way they interact with others and how they approach a task.For example, as an individualist, I prefer to do most of my work in my own time.I do because I think I can think better and concentrate better alone, but also, I feel like I do the best work very early in the morning.But I also like meeting with a group to talk about what needs to get done, progress checks, and who should do what. A person who is a competitor usually looks out for themselves only, they are focused on bonuses, rewards, and promotions. This can be a good thing between organizations, always trying to be better than the other, but within a company, it can be very destructive. Cooperative organizations tend to have an increase in trust, accuracy, and communication.All members get a voice and can help each other.However, there are also problems with this idea some members might not feel like their voice is heard. A combination of personality types is needed.Competitors are good in situations where the competitor is a leading manager or in marketing, they have skills to outperform other companies.A cooperative team is better for accuracy and trust, this may be a good group for a long term project.
