- choose a public company (preferably two companies) with outstanding stocks traded on any capital market.

- give a short introduction to the company (what it does, how it transformed, etc).

- take the balance sheet and income statement and analyze the performance of the company based on at least the following ratios:

Current ratio, quick ratio, total and fixed asset turnover, return on equity, DSO, profit margin, basic earning power and PE ratio. Try to compare the company's performance both against its past and the industry average.

Finally offer your perspective on how you see the firm's future based on you analysis and may be offer some policy suggestions.
