Question: I need a java method that is connected to a jfx button that when clicked. Gets the clock in time and date, then when clicked

I need a java method that is connected to a jfx button that when clicked. Gets the clock in time and date, then when clicked again gets the clock out time and date, elapsed time, and total time overall and stores it all in a database.

I know how to connect the method to the button and connect to my mysql database just need the method to perform the calculations.

This is for my employee time tracker desktop app. Thanks
