current event search for marketing current event and search the internet (publications, newspapers, magazines, business news sites) to find an article that explains the details of the news story. It can be either a written or video/visual news story. The event should be as current as possible with none being more than 4 months old.

Examples of marketing current events can be: -A launch new advertising campaign, endorsement deal or new product launch -Sales figures and projections for a given period/quarter -A promotional events: (Superbowl, Grammys, Red Bull, etc) -A management change within a corporation -An image problem with a celebrity/athlete -A crisis management situation for a company (food poisoning, tampering, recall, etc.) Closing of locations and reduction of staff -Lawsuits filed against a company (negligence, false advertising, discrimination, etc.) Initial Public Offering (IPO) or fluctuation in company stock prices -Consumer Behavior/ Social Trends -Emerging technology -Governmental/regulation news (State of the Union address, quotas, tariffs, etc)

1. Use the title of the news event or article as the title of your document.
2. Underneath the title, include the link to the article - make sure that it is hyperlinked so I can pull up the original

article. There should be a total of three paragraphs in your document for this assignment.

• Paragraph 1 - give a concise summary of what has occurred in the news story (minimum 100 words).
• Paragraph 2 perform basic Google search on the organization and/or business involved or mentioned in the

article and summarize their mission statement, their current stock price and performance in the market

(minimum 50 words).

• Paragraph 3 - give your opinion and/or reaction to the marketing news event and make any projections, using basic business concepts about the decision, outcome and/or predictions in the article (minimum 200 words).
• Total Word Count for the Entire Document - 350 minimum
