What should the organization do to prepare for the future flow(s)?

So, this week I choose to look at the retailer Target.

How could the organization create more value for its stakeholders? I believe one way this organization could create more value for its stakeholders learning to compete against companies like Amazon. Earlier this year Target announced they were investing $5 billion dollars into their logistics, something that hadn't been looked at or overhauled in over 10 years. With the on-set of COVID and the disruptions in supply chains any improvement in this area, to me, adds value to those who are invested in Target. Not only could this improve reliability in deliveries but could also help keeping cost down for the consumer.

Which of the four future freight flows should it prepare itself for? Target should be preparing for is the Global Market Place. International trade will be the norm, and if Target is to remain a leader in the retail industry they'll need to start preparing now. Global trade is already seeing significant increases over the last few years and there is no sign it's going to slow down as the demand continues to grow.

3. What should the organization do to prepare for the future flow(s)? This is something that I think Target is already doing by investing heavily in their logistics now. In some ways they are already behind companies like Amazon, who has a vast global presence. Starting here in the U.S will allow them to expand in the overseas markets one day.
