To calculate a suitable sample size for my survey research, I will first define the population size/the number of people I want to interview. That, I believe, is critical to remember in order to compute. I don't want to interview too many individuals, so I'm thinking of distributing my survey to a small number of people. I suggest that you consider how many individuals you want to interview as well as the quantity since this will affect your sample size findings. I also advocate reaching a large number of individuals, but be cautious about how many people you send your survey to, since this may quickly become overwhelming. Since the population is already comparatively small, the sample size for my survey study will be highly representative of the population. I'm drawing a sample from a population of tenured Business and Math professors as well as English professors. My sample size is modest, owing mostly to the fact that there are more adjunct instructors than tenured professors. I wanted an even number for my sample size so that both female and male instructors were represented. I would advocate a higher sample size for future survey initiatives since the margin of error lowers as the sample size grows. I also recommend random sampling, which helps to ensure that the sample is representative of the population, which can reduce bias and improve generalizability of the results. When selecting participants, it is important to use random sampling techniques to avoid systematic errors.
