Keeping up to date with technology is paramount in many industries so that organizations can keep up with technological advances for the business to thrive financially. Also, keeping up with economic conditions is vital to the comprehension of general environments. Specific environments, also known as task environments are external influences that directly effect organizations. These can include stakeholders, customers, competitors or suppliers. An organization I am familiar and am involved with has many factors within specific environmental factors, especially with customers, competitors and suppliers. Buying and reselling companies must understand the importance of its customers needs so that the organization can help towards marketing towards that target group. It is also crucial to understand specific environments such as competitors so that the product can stand out and are at the correct price points. Suppliers are part of the foundation to understanding which materials and resources are going to be needed and at which price points to run the business. It is important to understand an organizations environments so that it can forecast upcoming threats to maneuver and to make changes upon them. Identifying and understanding an organizations environment is also crucial because it helps you modify tendencies and to adjust into whatever industry an organization is in. This goes right into planning towards a more profitable future in any line of business.
