I believe the public gets their impressions about lawsuits from the media.The media is very bad about shinning whatever light they see fit on topics, including lawsuits.One thing that really stood out to me in the video you posted about the McDonald's coffee lawsuit was how the story kept getting shortened. (When you start taking key details out of the report it makes it impossible to form a fair opinion.

Don't get me wrong I feel like there are a lot of frivolous lawsuits filed on a daily basis, but I do not think it is as bad as the media and news papers portray it to be.I have gotten to where I rarely re-post articles on Facebook because so many of them are inaccurate.The longer I am in the legal field and the more I see the media and society twist things the more I make sure to look into things for myself, instead of taking someone else's word for it.
