I need help on writing Method and Result section.

The method section should give the reader a clear sense of exactly how your study was conducted. Ideally, it should provide the reader with enough information to conduct an exact replication of your study. It is customary to include three subsections in the method section: i) Participants, ii) Measures, iii) Procedure. For formatting this section in APA, see your APA resources for guidelines, including the Purdue Owl.

i) Participants - The participants subsection should contain a description of who the participants were (i.e., college students in Psych 412) and what their demographic characteristics are (using descriptive statistics), how many there were, how they were sampled, and how they were compensated (i.e., with course credit). You will need the breakdown for "gender" and the M (mean), SD (standard deviation), and range (min and max) for "age." Those stats can be found in your analysis.

ii) Measures - This subsection should contain a description of all the scales used in your study. First mention the demographic measures asked. Next describe your own scale, including each of the following: how the items were culled down and selected, how many items remained in the final administered version, and the rating scale (e.g., on a 5-point Likert scale from "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree"). For the construct validity scale, describe how many items it contains (or that you used) and how it was scored. Make sure to include a CITATION for the construct validity scale and any other scales you used.

iii) Procedure - The procedure subsection should provide the reader with a clear description of the procedure used. In this section you should describe how the materials, which you described in the materials subsection, were administered to participants. Using the analogy of a recipe, you can think of the materials subsection as the list of ingredients and the procedure subsection as the directions on how to combine and cook the ingredients. Make sure the reader clearly understands that you administered the survey online (and how that was done), and how the data were collected (Qualtrics) and analyzed (mention the use of R). Formatting: Use 12 point Times New Roman font. Set the margins to 1" all around. Use double spacing and include page numbers. The methods section should begin on a new page (use the page break function) and should be headed by the word Method bolded and centered. Subheadings (participants, materials, procedures) should be flush left and bolded.

Results: First, you should describe the analyses that you conducted (e.g., descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha, t-tests, ANOVAs, etc.) and why.
