The Unified Process (UP), Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum, Lean Software Development, Kanban Development, and Feature Driven Development (FDD) are all considered Agile development methodologies. These methodologies were developed to improve the time and cost required to develop and maintain software systems. Each methodologies has its proponents, strengths, and challenges. One of the most difficult tasks confronting every Chief Information Office or software developer is the selection of the appropriate system development methodology or in some cases methodologies.

Research the methodologies listed above. Select one of the Agile development methodologies listed that you think would best meet your needs if you were managing a software development project. Use the group forum to discuss the following:

Present a brief overview of the methodology you selected. Justify your selection.
