Question: i need help with straight line depreciation. I built a 1 0 year dcf model. I was given initial investment = 9 , 2 3

i need help with straight line depreciation. I built a 10 year dcf model. I was given initial investment =9,230,000 depreciation period (all capex)=2,000,000 and Depreciation period=5yrs ....... i got 7,230,000 for the amount that needs to be depreciated through the straight line method but dont understand if i have to use the 10 year lifespan of the project or the depreciation period and how that would look?
