In this last assignment of the course, you will prepare a mini-presentation to provide recommendations on performance appraisal. While you do not have to deliver or record the presentation, you will develop slides that sketch out your plan. Additional parameters and requirements are below.
Parameters:
Pick a job/organization that you are familiar with. One that you've held in the past, your current position, the position of a friend/relative, or a media example (so long as enough detail is relevant) will all work.
Assume your presentation will be delivered to upper leadership and/or the HR team making decisions on the future of PA in your company and that you've been asked for your expert input.
Desired format is PowerPoint, but any presentation tool exported to PDF format will work (Canvas struggles to read Google Slides and Keynote). If you have notes with your slides, please include the version or PDF version with notes.
If you have additional context you'd like us to know when evaluating your presentation, please include that as clearly marked "additional information" slide/s, or as a separate notes document (Canvas will let you submit more than one file for assignments).
Requirements:
Prepare 5-10 slides that present your recommended changes to improve or enhance the system, based on your knowledge of its current operation, employee perceptions, and goals. (I'll assume you'd do more research if you could, but go with the info that you currently have available).
Overall, target 1-2 recommendations (due to length), but you can include more if you choose.
Provide at least 1 slide on how the system works now (as it relates to the suggestion) to help us see the starting point
1 or more slides should focus on the suggested improvement and rationale
1 or more slides should cover a plan to implement the changes and any other necessary next steps
If you feel more information is warranted (e.g., employee focus groups about the system) you can include that in your next steps
