CUL 145 - Fall 2024 Assignment Description and Instructions: This is Digital ME Project (15%) DUE: Friday November 1% by 1159PM Format: Varies Length: Varies depending on format/medium selected. Approximately 10 minutes if you were presenting it aloud. Equivalent to 4-5 pages if it were a written assignment. Assignment Description: This will be a project involving taking control of how you present yourself online. This is largely a personal reflection, where you share your decisions about how to manage your digital identity based on what we have leamed. You will refer to a minimum of 3 references from the course material to support your personal reflection. Options for the project format allow for some personal choice. This could take the form of a PowerPoint presentation, a YouTube video, a small website, etc. You will provide a brief explanation of why you chose to complete this assignment in whichever format you select. In whatever medium you choose to complete the assignment, you will reflect on: - Where you choose to display your image and share your location. - You will consider who has access to your personal and professional information. - You will share your personal opinions and decisions you have made around the privacy and security risks of the digital world, as well as the mental health impacts of apps and online platforms. - You will discuss the benefits of being online for you personally, for instance social, educational, and professional opportunities; and - You will emphasize how you will protect your privacy and manage the risks as you continue to navigate the digital world. References and Citations You will refer to course content to support your personal reflections and decisions. Please use gither standard APA in-text citations (if slides/written submission) or verbal references to the appropriate content (reading and week of class it was presented). Regardless of how you are submitting your work (audio, video, written, etc.) you will alse submit a References page with the appropriate course content you used for this project. References will be for a minimum of 3 readings from the course and will be in APA format. No additional outside research is required, though you are welcome to add additional readings if you wish.
