You are the notorious bank robber, Sam I Am. This is the eighth bank you've robbed, but this time, you have hostages. The negotiator has asked you to let go of a few hostages in exchange for the power, which was strategically turned off, to be turned back on. Something happened, which caused you to shoot one of the hostages in the stomach. While it wasn't your intention to shoot him/her in the stomach, the hostage died immediately. You soon find out that this hostage was actually the mayor of the city. After a few hours, S.W.A.T. storms in and tackles you. You are eventually arrested and are now awaiting trial. Sadly, no one is willing to defend you unless you take the plea of 15 years in prison. This leaves you to have to defend yourself. Draft a 1 page opening defense to the jurors who will ultimately make a decision on your fate.
