In [2] a system proposed to prevent subscription fraud in fixed telecommunications with high impact on long-distance carriers. It consists of classification module which classifies subscribers according to their previous historical behavior into three categories: subscription fraudulent, insolvent and normal. It should operate continuously to monitor the prevalence of fraud, provide new fraud cases for adjusting the prediction module which allows them to identify potential fraudulent customers at the time of subscription. This system is predictive and operates at the application time in contrast to other systems that operate once the fraud has been committed.

This study was carried out on fixed telecommunications but the techniques proposed here could be extended to subscription fraud in mobile communications and other markets [2].
