One potential contributing reason to this dread is a genetic predisposition, presumably influenced by parental attitudes. To address this issue, a greater study is needed to better understand the relationship between genetics, parental views, and fear of failure among student-athletes, in order to design effective interventions to support these athletes in overcoming their anxiety and reaching their goals."
