Question:
I need some with this practice case, please. I rate The following is a waiting queue simulation model oriented towards service stations. The administration of a service station near a highway wants to analyze the congestion problem in its establishment. The station has two gasoline supply pumps and plenty of room for customers (cars) waiting for service, if the pumps are busy. Cars arrive every 3 to 5 minutes with a uniform probability distribution. Of the customers, 25% spend 5 minutes at the pump filling the gas tank, 50% take 6 minutes (they rest for a while before continuing on their way,) and the remaining 25% take 10 minutes at the station because they use bathroom services.
I. Simulate the system and estimate: Perform 10 replicas and calculate: to. Average waiting time for clients. b. Average time clients spend at the pump. c. Elapsed time between arrivals d. The probability that a customer will arrive and have to wait. and. The average number of customers at the station F. The average number of customers in each of the queues. g. Use of each of the pumps. h. The service charge of the gas station II. Terms • At the start of the simulation: o The system is empty o Randomness starts with the first customer to reach the system • Priority of use of resources: o Pump 1 has priority (if a car arrives and B1 is unoccupied, it enters B1, otherwise it checks if B2 is unoccupied and enters B2. If both are busy, it enters the one that is unoccupied first • Stop the simulation when customer number 10 is served.
