Question:
I need to learn this using the information about Creative Creations I will be using this for a sales call.
Creative Creations is a (fictitious) privately owned business of entrepreneur, Jean Smith. It was a long-time goal of Jean's to build her own business, and Creative Creations her opportunity to achieve that goal. Creative Creations makes specialty desserts. The dessert industry is crowded in most cities with many smaller players specializing in one or a few select desserts. Unlike its competitors, Creative Creations produces more than just cakes, they create edible art. Some of the specialized desserts include birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and individual desserts. What you Know: Creative Creations has been in business for 15 years and has stores in four major cities in the south (Asheville, NC; Atlanta, GA: Charlotte, NC; and Knoxville, TN). Creative Creations is larger than most dessert companies and employs a sales force in addition to advertisements on Google and wedding magazines. You don't know much about Creative Creations, however, by looking at their website you have identified four distinct types of customers of Creative Creations. The first are catering companies/event planners who want to outsource desserts and/or want an extra special dessert for special events. The second are wedding planners. The third are specialty grocery stores (like Earth Fare or Greenlife). The fourth are individuals and companies who contact Creative Creations directly. You do not know what percentage of the business comes from each of these four markets. It appears that Creative Creations ships their desserts in cardboard boxes, although it is difficult to tell based on what you see on the Internet
