I perform a hypothesis test to see if more than half of Purdue residence hall students prefer to use trays when eating in the dining courts. My null hypothesis is that more than half of the studentsdo notwant trays. My alternative hypothesis is that more than half of the studentsdowant to use trays. I sample 1000 students, and I find that 540 of them do want to use trays. At a significance value of 0.05, what would the P-value of getting 540 students that do want to use trays have to be in order to have evidence that more than half of all Purdue residence hall students want to use trays.
