I think IT can help managers communicate effectively and efficiently. Managers are able to construct a single message and send it to their team/employees, so everyone is getting the message quickly and single handedly. But I also think that some messages/communication that is sent in a message should be communicated face-to-face and that an e-mail could be a cop-out in a difficult situation to avoid confrontation.
