i$.$ This material has $74\%$ fine to coarse, hard, sub$-$angular reddish sand; $26\%$ organic and silty

dark$-$brown fines. The liquid limit $($not dried$)$ is $37\%$ while it is $26\%$ when oven dried. The

plasticity index $($not dried$)$ is $6$ and there was a weak reaction with HCL$.$

ii$.$ A soil with some organic odor was observed to change color to dark brown when wet.

Additional examination of the soil resulted in LL $($not dried$)=32,LL($oven dried$)=21,$ and

PI not dried
