Dumb ideas create tangents that allow for creativity. Build your Story Create discussion using the 5Ws and how they can help refine three or four ideas down to one, and begin to build a story. Create a detailed background Using a SWOT brainstorm possible strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Typically, strengths and weaknesses are internal in nature (Corporate objectives, resources, expertise, etc.) while opportunities and threats are external in nature (competition, the market, technology, social trends, etc.). Remember, a strength could be a weakness or a weakness a strength Create your Challenge question Identify a question pertaining to your information that you would like the reader to solve Have multiple solutions Identify a series of alternatives that could resolve the problem. Make sure that issues such as segmentation and targeting, positioning, and the pros and cons of each alternative are discussed. A minimum of two is required.

Introduce the fictional character, business or company along with the background information regarding the nature of the company, the product, the market or the service. Problem Identify the problem in a clear, concise manner. Ensure that the problem is distinguished from symptoms. Dont state the problem as choosing from between a number of alternative strategies. The problem should pose a question searching for a solution. Pose your Challenge question Identify a question pertaining to your information that you would like the reader to solve. Length Your case study should be no longer than one page, while potential solutions are a minimum of a half page each.
