IAF540 focuses on planning, design, implementation and management of
enterprise databases to support business information needs. Students gain
experience integrating information to address business needs. For the purposes
of this assignment, your group will be required to write a report and present a
webinar to the class on either:
1) a new and innovative technology/IT solution that has recently (within past
two years) been implemented by an organization or has recently been
introduced by a provider in the market; such as the impact of changes in
technology on business, the study and analysis of a company within the
industry, or how IT has affected a firms strategy, IT topics like data
analytics, emerging trends in IT, automated driving cars, artificial
intelligence. Etc.
or
2) A emerging issue in IT and accounting such as the new competency map
2.0, how are big data and AI transforming accounting, blockchain,
cybersecurity, skills required for graduates, green accounting, non-
traditional engagements (auditing social, governance, other non-financial
issues), sustainability, emerging issues in accounting with an IT focus.

3% Group participation in webinars, preparation of questions and feedback for the presenting group.
Webinar (10%)
The group is expected to present their paper to the class. The length is approximately 15-20
minutes
with 10 minutes for questions. Presentation rubric will be posted prior to the presentations.

Obtain approval for your topic by emailing the professor by Oct 31st . Copy all group
members in the
email so that I can send me approval and comments to all group members.
