Identify a situation in your life/work previously or currently when you had a maximization or minimization decision to make that involved two decision variables and at least two binding constraints. This one could be tricky to apply to your personal/work life. If you're stuck you can do something like this: maximize income per week where the two decision variables are two different jobs (x1 and x2) with two different wage rates (coefficients to x1 and x2) and the constraints are the hours you are available to work (should include both decision variables) and the hours offered by the employer (should have one constraint per job).

Instructions:

Describe the situation briefly, identify the decision variables and their coefficients, identify the binding constraints, and present the linear program using general linear programming notation as on p. 281 . There must be at least two decision variables and at least two binding constraints and they must all be linear.

Then solve for the optimal solution.

***I honestly could not comprehend the last example given I did give a good review because they did the work and provided me an example. This type of linear programming is very hard for me to understand. I honestly don't even understand the symbols used. Please help if you can. Thank you
