David has been appointed a store manager at Courts and is now looking to rent a house close to his job. He finds a nice house but frankly tells the landlord that his job is insecure, depends on sales and he could be easily sacked if he performs badly as a manager. The landlord who has been desperately looking for a tenant for nine months agrees to rent out the house for "as long as David remains manager at Courts". Is there a lease?
