Identify possible obstacles and develop contingency plans:

1. Identify the impact of future developments on existing systems, processes and organisational procedures to enhance the logistics planning process with the aim to improve the logistics plan
2. Identify obstacles that will have an impact on the implementation of the logistics plan.
3. Develop contingency plans to address any identified obstacles in the movement of freight.
4. Generate options with respect for alternative routing, scheduling and profitability.
