Monica is always the first salesperson to reach the office at the beginning of the day. This really impresses Jamie who thinks that promptness is the most important quality of a worker. Monica has more complaints about her by customers than any other salesperson and her sales lag behind other sales workers, but Jamie continues to appreciate her early arrival at work. Jamie gives Monica an outstanding performance appraisal and the other sales workers only a satisfactory rating. 4. Derek is the new supervisor of the morning shift. He has been promoted from the ranks and is friends with all five of his subordinates. Derek had previously received the only outstanding appraisals among all the employees, while the rest of his peers (now subordinates) received below average ratings.
