If a company does not evaluate their employees based on the ethics of their conduct, what message might they be sending to their employees? Employees will appreciate that something as sensitive as ethical or unethical conduct shouldn't be included on an employee evaluation. Employees will understand that ethical behavior is assumed at their company, and therefore it isn't worth including in an evaluation. Employees may think that ethical behavior isn't important, because it doesn't determine whether they are given a raise or promotion. Employees will be happy that their company isn't being overbearing when it comes to ethical behavior, and be more productive as a result
