If an officer in our institute is angry today, the probability that he will remain angry tomorrow
Question:
If an officer in our institute is angry today, the probability that he will remain angry tomorrow is 0.7 and the probability of his becoming happy tomorrow is 0.3. On the other hand, if he is happy today, his being happy or angry tomorrow is equally probable.
• Draw a state transition diagram for the officer’s moods
• Given the officer is angry on 1-Jan-2018, what is the probability of his being happy on 10-Jan-2018
• Draw a bounded and live petri net with three places and three transitions to model the above Markov chain (the solution may not be unique) and associate appropriate firing probabilities with each transition. Assume any number of tokens and a suitable initial marking of the network.
