I'm preparing a final analytical paper but after reading the instruction from the syllabus, I'm still very confused about what I'm going to write. Can you explain in simple words what am I going to write about and directions about how to start?

WRITTEN ANALYTICAL PAPER:

A scholarly analytical paper is required. The analysis is intended to demonstrate the student's knowledge of Operations Management. The assignment involves a comparison and contrast of manufacturing and services based on the following factors:

  • Aggregate Planning
  • Resource Planning
  • Process Layout
  • Quality
  • Scheduling
  • Supply Chain
  • Delivery

The paper must be in the format provided by the instructor:

  • Must be in the format provided - no exceptions
  • include all sections and subsections
  • be typed (double-spaced), 1-inch margins
  • use a font not larger than Courier 10 or Arial 11
  • have a table of contents
  • have page numbers
  • have a Citation page (text and any resources other than the text)
  • be a minimum of 10 pages and no more than 20 pages in length not including the cover page, table of contents, or citations

All factors are covered in the text for both services and manufacturing; however, the student must analyze the information to complete the Similarities and/or Differences section for each factor.
