I'm trying to read an input in c++. It is the user name which includes first and last name, and if they have a middle name that too, all in a single line using a single variable with cin. After that I can't figure how to do the following with that single variable for name:

1: return the first three letters of there first name.

2. return the last three letters of there last name.

3. return the index of the first letter of their last name.
