In a cattle farm, animal urine is decanted into a concrete storage tank, which is open to atmosphere. The storage tank occasionally receives rainwater, which is buffered with animal urine to pH = 8.5. It is well known that animal urine contains high concentration of ammonia with a pungent smell causing odor problem for communities nearby.
