In a sequence of numbers, we say that there is a peak at index iif the value at i is greater than both the neighbouring values, at i-1 and at i+1. The first and last number in the sequence are also peaks, if they are greater than their one neighbouring value. For example, in the sequence [13.0, 9.6, 14.2, 17.5, 8.9, 9.7, 15.7, 20.4, 14.8, 13.2, 13.6, 15.6, 17.9, 24.1, 19.2] there are peaks at indices 0 (because 13.09.6), 3 (because 14.2 < 17.5 > 8.9), 7 (because 15.7 < 20.4 14.8) and 13 (because 17.9 <24.1 > 19.2). The following function takes as argument a numeric sequence and returns average distance betweeen all the peaks in it. The distance betweeen two peaks at indices i and j is defined as abs (i- j).
