In class on multiple occasions we discussed the operator-machine model. I would now like for you to discuss this model. What do we as human factors engineers have control over when it comes to an operator-machine system? What are the design implications for input to and output from the system when it comes to how the human uses it? What impact does the environment have on the design? What are the characteristics of a good design? Finally, what can go wrong with the input and output aspects of the system? Can you give some examples of poor system design from a cognitive human factors perspective
