In my study, I am hypothesizing that a multidimensional teen parenting program that integrates parenting skills, teen life skills, social support, family planning, medical care, vocational resources and emotional resources will result in decreased negative parenting behaviors, decreased repeat pregnancy, reduced school dropouts, decreased sress levels, increased teen parent self-esteem, improved economic opportunities, improved health for the teen parent and child, and improved life skills necessary for adulthood. The study will have both a longitudinal qualitative study component as well as a quantitative research component as some of the measurements will include standardized tests with scoring.
