Now it's time to create a plan in the form of an outline for your essay. You need to make a plan to be sure that you include all of the required elements of this essay. This is a part that most students like to skip, or haven't spent a lot of time on in the past, but I think you'll see that is very important, especially when we begin to write longer, and more challenging papers. So, it's in your best interest to make your best effort. I have provided a "guided" outline below. I call it a "guided" outline because I have provided information from the writing prompt for this essay, to make sure you don't forget anything. Keep in mind that with the work that you completed on Thesis Statements and Topic Sentences last week, part of your outline is already done. Just fill in those blanks. You really will just be focusing on filling in the details that you will cover in your essay. To do a good job on that, use the information that I provided in one of the outline below, and refer to the Writing prompt often to be sure you are including everything.
