- In Part 1 is an individual assignment. You will Prepare for the interview by developing interview questions, determining which documents to request, and analyzing your client's case with FILAC.
- Part 2 requires group work but will also be submitted individually. You will record your interview in pairs or triangles.
- You will submit the recording (or a 10-minute) to Feedback Fruits for peer review.
- You will then extract a three-minute segment of the recording where you are giving advice to the client and submit this to your instructor for assessment.
The assignment assesses your ability to:
- gather information from your client to assess their eligibility for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV).
- provide your client with the appropriate guidance on potential issues with their application and request appropriate documentation to overcome those issues.
Overview of Materials and Tasks
You will be provided with the following materials for this assignment, all of which you will find under the "Case Study" tab below:
- An interview intake form
- A client narrative and
- An incomplete list of supporting documents
Similar to the discussion of Case Study "Paulo", you will read the case study and complete the following tasks:
- Prepare a list of ten questions to be addressed to the client during the interview.
- Identify three additional documents, which are not on the list we provided, and craft brief explanations for why you would like to request those documents.
- Analyse your client's case using the FILAC framework to assess their eligibility for a TRV.
