In Python!
Write a function that allows you to find the maximum and minimum peaks of a series of data. The input data is 2 vectors containing the abscissa and ordinates of the data to which the peaks will be found. The output is 4 vectors containing the abscissa and ordinates of the maximum peaks and the abscissa and ordinates of the minimum peaks. To find the maximum peaks, your function should "stop" at each data point and check if it is greater or less than its neighbors on both sides and thus decide if it is a maximum, in which case you should save it as "maximum peak" along with the abscissa in which it happened. An analogous procedure must be followed to find the minimums. Note that endpoints have only one neighbor aside, omit these points in their analysis.
