In regards to event study regression, how do I find difference in trends between two time periods before treatment initiation? For instance, treatment is only initiated at 2000. How do I find trend from year 1999 to 1998, 1999 to 1997 and so on. Don't I need to compare the year of treatment initiation to year before initiation?
