Question:
In the first part of, you will choose either factoring a binomial or trinomial and then have a factoring flowchart showing how to solve any binomial or trinomial you could encounter. (HINT: Don't forget about all of the different cases for each that you learned about in this unit.)
the flow chart should have the GCF in the correct location of the chart. the flowchart should have all special cases for the type of flowchart chosen: For binomials including difference of squares, sum & difference of cubes. For trinomials, include when a=1 and when az1, and perfect square trinomials. Make sure they are placed correctly in the chart.
We have provided an example of a flowchart for factoring polynomials, giving you a good place to start setting up your flowchart. This flowchart includes factoring for all polynomials; yours should include more detail.
