In the given case, fourteen applicant received a conditional offer of employment on successful completion of medical and psychological exams. The offer was given by police academy training class. Acceptance in this case is the criteria governed by city for the selection purpose. The fourteen applicant has to accept the selection criteria changed by the city. Bilateral contract is the contract that is promise in exchange of promise. On the other hand unilateral contract is the contract in exchange for an act. In this case, it is the unilateral contract because there was no promised made by police academy to fourteen applicant for the employment offer.
