In the modules below are a variety of data sets you may consider using for your project. They include among others Data sets from openintro.org (the source of our text book) NYC Community Health Survey (full and reduced data sets) A transit physical activity survey You may chose ONE data set from those offered below or any other data set available on openintro.org You may also use data that you provide perhaps from another course or a survey or study you are working on that you have permission to use for such a purpose. In part one of this project please tell me what dataset you are going to use, what your research question is, and what variables that are in the dataset that you will be using. It will also help if you give a preliminary idea of what statistical test(s) you plan to use. This will help me to keep you from getting too complicated or going off on a tangent. Your result does not have to be statistically significant. Your approach to the problem is what you are graded on. Here is an example of a part one of project 1: I plan on using the NYC dataset. My research question is does smoking during pregnancy affect birth weight. The variables I plan to use are smoking_status and birth_weight. I will use a t-test to compare birthweights for mothers who smoked compared to mothers who did not smoke
