In the power transmission system shown in Figure a 1 hp electrical motor is connected to a spur gear set which the pressure angle is 20 and the diametral pitch is 10 teeth/in. In the spur gear set, the pinion has 20 teeth and is rotating 1200 rpm clockwise. The gear has 40 teeth and it is connected to a bevel gear set which the pressure angle is 20, the diametral pitch is 12 teeth/in and the face width is 0.5 inch.
