In this assignment, you will be creating a concept network of a University (Model it after Mt. St. Mary's?). This assignment is for you to consider how a network should be constructed, what major areas are connected, and how data flows between segments. This network is intended to be an abstract diagram. Here is an example of the type of diagram I am expecting: In your design, address the following: - Admissions - Resident Life - HR / Personnel / Admin - IT / SOC - Internet Access and related Firewall - Dorms - Wireless Access in Dorms and other networks. - Remote Campus (Just show VPN concept at the remote destination) Consider Network Segmentation in your design. - Where would firewalls be used or routers or VLANs? - Do you wish to specify different categories of firewalls? Consider Security Systems such as IDS/IPS/IDPS at strategic points along the network. Include a Cloud Infrastructure to support Applications and Storage, i.e. a Hybrid Cloud between the school's on-premise systems and their cloud-based systems. This Network Diagram will form the context basis for Risk Assessments and Threat Modeling in Part 2
