In this course we will cover several current topics in information systems / information technology: Mobile, Social, Big Data, Cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence. Each student is to select one of these current topics. You are to find a business-related article in English published in 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022 dealing with this topic in the business press. You can find a list of general business publications at this website: http://www.world-newspapers.com/business.html. You do not have to select a publication from this list, however. You must select an English-language publication. The article should not be from an academic or research publication. Also, it should not be a press release or a product description. The ideal article will discuss how a specific business dealt with the topic that you selected. However, other types of articles are acceptable as long as they deal with the topic in a business context. Each student is to write a short report on the article. The report should have the following format:

Your name: (LASTNAME, Firstname)

Topic: (One of the following words: Mobile, Social, Big Data, Cloud, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence)

Title of article: (Give the full title of the article)

Author of article: (If known)

Publication: (Include the name of the publication and the date of publication. If you found the article in an online edition of the publication, include the url / website.)

Summary: (Write a brief summary of the article in English. Maximum length is 300 words.)

Your entire report should fit on one page.

I will also ask each student to summarize their report aloud in class. I will also ask students in class to comment on the reports of other students.
