In this exercise, you will enable unified auditing. The method differs between Linux and Windows. Then you will create and configure audit policies as well as query the results. Connect as SYSDBA unless otherwise directed. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Determine whether unified auditing is enabled by running this query:

select value from v$option where parameter='Unified Auditing';

Following a standard install, this will return FALSE.

2. Shut down the Oracle services. Shut down all database instances and listeners. On Windows, also stop all Oracle-related Windows services.

3. In Windows, copy in the unified auditing dynamic link library:

cd %ORACLE_HOME%\bin

copy orauniaud12.dll.dbl orauniaud12.dll
