Make conceptual model with the necessary entities, attributes, identifiers and relationships to capture the data.

Label all entities with noun phrases. Clearly indicate an identifier (key attribute(s)) for each entity.

Label all relationships with verb phrases.

Specify cardinality and participation constraints whenever possible.

Relationship lines should be clear enough.

Write out two "relationship sentences" for each relationship using the format: One may be (or must be) one (or many)

If there are any assumptions that you make, clear specify them.

Business Case: Allcar Auto Insurance

Allcar Auto Insurance (AAI) is a company offering car insurance services for the DFW area.

The company has a staff of employees that take on different roles such as agent, accountant, and receptionist. Each employee has an Employee ID, SSN, Sex, Name, Salary, Phone Number, and Start Date. Besides which, each agent also has a Commission Rate and the level of each accountant is recorded.

The agents review the contents of a client's vehicle(s) and generate a policy with a unique Policy ID#, Policy Number, Start Date, End Date, Total Premium, Paid Amount, and Balance (derived). A client may be covered by one or more policies, and one policy must be associated with at least one client.

Each client has an eight-digit Driver's License Number (DLN), Name (First Name and Last Name), SSN, DOB, Email, Address, Sex, Phone Number (one or more phone numbers), IsPrimaryPolicyHolder, and Driving Record Score.

The covered vehicle(s) on the policy are recorded with VIN#, Year, Make, Model, and Color (may have multiple values).
