In this Lab, students will know all rules for drawing DFD. They will be able to draw context diagram, Level0 and Level-1 diagram. Example: System S1 (Traffic Monitoring System) The growing traffic in the city have good number of problems (in the form of violations) are associated with them. This traffic in the city runs smoothly if the drivers follow the guidelines, instructions and abide by the rules of the traffic for the safety of self and others. If the vehicle driver does not follow the traffic laws, it is most likely it will commit a violation of laws that may end up in the form of severe accidents. We need a system that can detect the violation committed by the driver of the vehicle. These violation may include such as 'Over speeding vehicle', 'Red signal crossing', 'Abrupt lane change or Lane change without indicator', 'Fasten No Seat belt', 'Zig-zag driving' and 'Stopping vehicle beyond the stop line at red signal' etc. There may be several other problems that could be considered. We need to understand that drivers have limited interaction with the system. The best who can get benefit of this kind of system is the traffic police so we need to keep in mind as an analyst the requirement of the traffic police officer who is interacting with the system. There may be different users or traffic police officers with different positions, requiring different features to work with. Note that for monitoring purpose, on the roads/streets, there are cameras or different types of sensors installed at different points such as road intersection or on the highways, or at U-turn points or round about, etc
