In this module's readings, we learned about the creation, operation, and powers of specific administrative agencies. With the FAA, we see that there is an inherent conflict in that the FAA is both lawmaker, judge, and jury. However, in recent years we have seen the implementation of the Pilots Bill of Rights and the Compliance Philosophy/Program. Based on the reading assignments, explain 1) the operation and powers of the FAA, and 2) describe whether the addition of these two features (pilot's bill of rights and compliance philosophy) are sufficient measures to prevent the FAA from abusing its power; 3) Provide one example of additional improvements that could be made to protect the rights of those persons and entities subject to FAA oversight
