In this project, you are assigned to design and implement a database for Railway Information System that will store all train routes with all the necessary details.. At the end of this project, you will submit a report that contains the following items: - Introduction - ER Diagram, - Relational Model, - Data Definition Language Details (DDL), - Data Manipulation Language Details (DML), - Normalization (upto 3NF) - 15 queries retrieving statistical information for management. Your design should contain at least 6 tables. You are free to design the database anyway you like, but the following requirements should be considered: All the necessary information about Train, Schedule, Booking, Station, Coach and Passenger details should be stored in the system. There should be schedules (fixed routes) recording what time a train passes through each station on its route (time_in, time_out). You can assume that each train reaches its destination on the same day and that every train runs every day. Passengers can make reservation; consisting of train, date, from-station, to-station, coach, seat and passenger details. This system should provide facility for reporting including how many reservations made on each day, finding out the busy schedules, rush hours, most preferred routes, etc. Head officer can also track the details of the coaches working hours, availability on a given date and time etc. These are the minimal requirements which means they have to be implemented, but implementing only the requirements that is mentioned above will not be enough to get full mark.
